The Battles for Ki

Several months ago in the Empire of Stavenn, the young boy named
Vyzerath, the voice of the Red Maiden, had a vision of great magnitude.
He spoke of an enterprise that would change the very heavens, and bring
glory to the Empire and to Nemesis. For many months, the citizens of
Stavenn were left confused regarding the vague promises and visions of
the boy. As they gathered the valuable commodities at no small expense,
the boy Vyzerath began building. He asked for emeralds, and they were
given to him. Ahithophel, the Arbiter of Ruin, offered to assist by
gathering stone. The Blood Prince did not trust the hand of Ruin, and
thus inspected each stone personally for decay or aberrations. When the
stone was finally formed into a great dais, the people of the Empire
were asked to offer up their own strength to the construct, to assist in
the fortification against degeneration. They did so, and in time a
replica of Ki was formed.

The Red Maiden revealed Herself to the people gathered around the
replica, and gave them a gift of Her pillars of Shadow. She blessed the
warrior, Eligor, with the power to smash the pillar to achieve the
pieces of corrupt shadow needed to taint the replica of Ki. As the
pillars were rendered asunder by the might of the Blood Prince, the
slivers of them scattered over the world.

The response from the Lord of the Suns was swift and full of anger. The
citizens of Antioch and the faithful of the Lord of the Suns turned to
Zohri, the Flare, for assistance and explanation. Even as the corrupt
slivers of shadow flew over the world, bits of the pure sun were sent
forth as slivers of glimmering chartreuse. In order to subvert the
efforts of the Empire and Wrath, Zohri began a collection of these
divine sun slivers.

As the other cities and forest councils of Aetherius heard of the
tumult, some of them requested assistance in changing the possible
outcome. The Lady of the Arcane immediately came to the aid of Kinsarmar
and Her adherents to offer a gift that would allow magic what they
wished.

Thus the battle continues.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Artificium, in the year 570 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
