Love and Rituals in Karakas Cove

On the 16th day of Solis, in the year 600 AD, a failed apprentice by the
name of Thorontur wandered into Khandava seeking the aide of any
ritualist who would listen to his plight. He found Iroth, Gilot, and
Aleutia and rambled on about his retreat in Karakas Cove, a corner
tucked away from the expanse of the beach. In his search for the perfect
home, he also found the perfect woman to love. However, Thorontur needed
help to release the curse on his true love. Iroth, Gilot, and Aleutia
traveled to the farthest reaches of the Khandava Forest, stumbling upon
the cove as well as Meriel herself.

After learning she was not really cursed after all, and refusing to help
such a bitter mermaid, Iroth left the task up to the others. Gilot and
Aleutia journeyed across the world to speak with Murin, Thorontur's
mentor. After getting little information from Murin, the two went to
find Meriel's sister, Hysaara. Hysaara told them the tale of the ritual
to turn Meriel into a fish so she could explore the wrecks beneath the
ocean, and how Thorontur had helped with the ritual and ruined the
process. Upon learning of Meriel's new permanent condition, Gilot and
Aleutia understood why she was so bitter towards poor Thorontur.

The two traveled back to Thorontur to help him with the ritual to unbind
the curse from his love Meriel. Upon learning the complex nature of the
task, they promised to return at a later time. Will Thorontur ever get
the help he needs to save Meriel?

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Solis, in the year 600 AD.
