Since everyone else is posting their (bad) poetry up here,
I figured I'd give it a shot.

~~ Dulcet ~~

The sweet sublimic sound
Of water plays against my ear
The beauty of a girl
Has made me wake from slumber's cheer
Her crystal eyes and unknowing glance
Have torn me so into a trance
And not a word gives any merit
To this dulcet mermaid's voice
Enchanting luscious form and ways
My breath escapes me, I'm in a daze
And I hope forever never to leave
This wondrous and ravishing
Liquid dream

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Solis, in the year 426 AD.
