Love

Will I ever get to hold heaven in my arms?
To win his heart and to discover his charms?
And cherish him with mind, soul and heart...
To grow old together, never to part?
long dearly for the one who will win me away
To name me his starry night - and call me his bright sunny day.
Woe is the tide of years that I spend alone
Without that missing soulmate I yearn to call my own.
Yes, strength have I in dire times of need...
But every true lady dreams of her shining hero on a snowy white steed.
Love - you're cruel torture each day that comes to pass...
And draw heavy a heart upon this quiet lass!
Draw forth your white banner true if you'll show mercy to me
Oh blessed I would feel! and happy I would be!

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Vita, in the year 432 AD.
