-* The Bard and the Mage *-

Once upon a time
'Twas a bard who rhymed
She'd quote her prose
And tap her nose
And life was so sublime.

Then one day she met
A mage who made a bet
That she would fail
To tell a tale
That no one could forget.

And so she pondered long,
And then she sang a song
Of hopeless love
'Twixt whale and dove.
Oh! How absurd! How wrong!

The mage, he was surprised.
Her failure he'd surmised.
She grinned with glee
And took her fee.
His doubt was his demise.

This of course was written in tribute to my guild and profession. I have
nothing against mages, it is simply meant to be fun and entertaining. It
also shows that there is more to being a bard than wielding magick and
fighting opposing circles. We are entertainers, historians, and artists.
I may have become a bard later in life, but I don't forsee myself
forsaking its path.

Cheers!
