Cry of the Betrayed

Written by: Littlest Selwin Veliryan, Bardic Historian

Addressed to: Everyone

Foozler, bamboozler, trickster, deciever,
King of Artifice with your crown of lies.

Poisoned words melting,
Oozing like golden-dew honey
Spiked with the sting of the bee.

Trapping the heart, ensnaring devotion,
Wrapped in webs of false promises,
Suck the purpose from the fly you catch.

Pull tight the strings of your thrall.
Lead your puppet on a merry dance.
You care little when the string snaps,
Your victim spiralling into the flames of betrayal
To writhe in the ache of loss.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Halitus, in the year 587 AD.
