Deepest Isolation

Bound in my woes of mortal flesh:
I softly pad,
Aloof alone
My mind whirling in eddies of pain.
My heart felt crushed in somber pitched gloom.

My tears fall hot on my pillow in angst:
Like leaden drops,
Feeling unfeeling
Callused to lifes most bitter rewards.
Downcast by my own imperfect heart.

A pallor of dark stalks me now:
My deepest heart,
Saddened mourning
My spirit extinguished in consuming heat.
My dread smoldering in eternal cold.

The light so far off from me now:
I am blind,
Unseeing unknowing
I grope for love but purchase pain.
Happiness but a wraith beyond my grasp.
