Rectifying Rumours

To the Souls of Aetherius:

Usually I would not bend your ears for something so obvious but there
seems to be confusion leading to misconceptions about the origins of the
Saboteur skills and talents.

There are absolutely NO demonic features or demonic magicks intertwined
with our guild methods. NONE. There never have been. Insidian never made
a pact or sold his soul to the Noctusari or Malignists. However, after
the ancestors of the Idras, the Suspiran Phantoms (namely the cowardly
Songdroth Suspira) chased Insidian's faction out of Kinsarmar, Insidian
set out to quench his insatiatable thirst for knowledge.

It is a simple yet constantly overlooked statue of learning: ALL
Knowledge Is Worth Having. Not just certain topics or general ideas.
Every tidbit of information, every soupcon of knowledge is vital to
have. Why? Because without everything, there is nothing. If you view
half of a portrait, you miss the other half which might add more to the
artwork, making your understanding of the artist's depicted reasons null
since you do not see or know the bigger picture.

Insidian -spoke- with the Malignists and the Noctusari and -learned- the
theories behind each guild's abilities. He sought to understand what
most of the realm feared instead of remaining ignorant and barring
himself from a wealthy cache of knowledge. With what he learned,
Insidian perfected the faults Suspira had left within Sabotage. Insidian
realized that the Saboteurs, although almost entirely non-magickal,
would benefit from a few things magick. Not demonic, mind you. A key to
perfection is in utilizing everything available to you without
prejudice.

And so Insidian modified his skills and taught them to his faction
before the Night of Sabotage occurred.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
