The Idras

Greetings Souls of Aetherius!

I just wished to grace the realm with some information that is vital to
understanding why this "war" between the Saboteurs and the Idras began.

Right around the time the Idras first made their presence public, Juran,
their guildmaster, decided to infiltrate the guildhall of the Saboteurs
and leave us a letter. But not before Juran decided to take our guild
tutor Ismailis, who happened to be the last living member that was with
Insidian on the Night of Sabotage, to his offices within the Gyanis
snowfields under the false pretenses of a conversation and dinner.
Within Juran's offices, Ismailisi was brutally murdered and then
decapitated, his head having been mailed to me by Juran himself.

Before I go on, I'd like to say that we, the Saboteurs, took this as an
act of aggression against us. Apparently the reasons behind Juran's
slaying of Ismailis was that Ismailis was the only person left alive
that knew what occurred during the Night of Sabotage. Hmm...interesting
to say the least. Gives cause to wonder why Juran wishes the events of
the Night of Sabotage to remain secret.

Continuing on, a few of the Saboteurs sought retribution for the murder
of our fellow guildmate Ismailis, our mentor and tutor. The Idras then
sought to fight back and called a war upon the Saboteurs. Oh but the
fantastic part of this all was that Juran failed to inform most of his
guild about what he had done to our mentor Ismailis in the name of the
Idras.

Recently, we, the Saboteurs, were given by the Idras 3 sets of terms to
comply with for a ceasefire.

First set of terms:
1) 1 million gold pieces
2) a public post stating that the Saboteurs were halting all hostilities
against the Idras.

Second set of terms:
1) 500,000 gold pieces
2) a public post stating that the Saboteurs were halting all hostilities
against the Idras.
3) vials of benzene and benzedrine toxins whenever they wanted them

Third set of terms:
1) 250,000 gold pieces
2) a public post stating that the Saboteurs were halting all hostilities
against the Idras.

The Saboteurs offered one proposal:'

1) a mutual ceasefire
2) a toxin treaty of sorts that kept the toxins the guilds had in common
at a set minimum price.

The Idras rejected the proposal offered by the Saboteurs and instead
gave the Saboteurs a 3 month deadline to arrive at a decision on which
set of terms we liked best.

Needless to say, the Saboteurs did not and will not pay the Idras for
anything.

There you have it, Aetherius. Enjoy the irony of the account.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
