A few short, simple points, not meant to inflame. Someone will take them
wrong, they always do.
1. It is our choice to either be a member of a city, or not. The
leadership of a city has nothing to do with why we are a member of said
city (or council). Should -any- leader of the city, male -or- female,
require something of us that goes against our guild or beliefs, it then
becomes a choice between our sisters and said city. Nobody is forcing
either citizenship nor guild membership upon any of us.
2. Shooting someone with an incendiary arrow and then saying "It wasn't
meant to -kill- her" is not acceptable. You do not shoot someone with
that and hope that they'll live. As for killing our sisters, if you do
it, and you have an acceptable reason, fine. It is your choice to make
yourself a target to those we protect.
3. All the complaining, whining, bitching, assorted threats and barbs
are pointless. We don't care. I reiterate, pointless. We do not -need-
your good opinion of us, the only opinions that matter are those of our
guildmates, friends, and the Divine. You can call us hypocrites,
warmongers, liars, manhaters (see point 4) all you like, if you are not
part of the above list, we simply do not care.
4. We. Are. Not. Manhaters. That ought to be clear enough, but I doubt
it is. We do not hate men. Some men are even decent creatures. We do not
make sport of hunting men, nor we do sit around knitting in our
guildhall, giggling and hiding. We do what sensible people do, stay
where it is safe when there are idiots roaming the world saying, "Ooh!
Look! An Ilaferi! Let's kill her!" Or if we like, we retaliate. It is
our choice.
Unless you are Ilaferi or Divine, you have no place to judge our guild.
Let it be, quit the public complaints. If you have a problem, do
something about it. Or don't. Your choice is as simple as that.
Faith.
