magick and "magic"

I'm curious Sargon. How is it that "magic" users and magick users
experience the same magickal surges and the same disadvantages in
Ithaqua and Antioch if they derive their power from seperate sources?
The fact that they gain the same advantages and disadvantages from the
same places indicates a common cause for the phenomenon and therefore a
link between the way they function.
