Greetings, Aetherians. Something has urged me to counter every point in
Public Post No. 1370 by Saadyia. I will do so now. If you don't like my
arrogance, then don't read this. I'm not forcing you to.
"I can almost understand the necessity of killing during times of war,
but the killing of innocent children is inexcusable. Murdering ones own
infant son is horrid and incomprehensible. You have a citizen, Kalil
Anar, who has done such a crime. He currently resides in safety behind
your walls. Tell me, Imperator, is this the foundation on which your
Empire wishes to base itself upon? I would suggest that your city
re-think its position when allowing citizens to remain as such when they
have committed such unspeakable acts of cowardice."
In my reading of this, I failed to find something other than Lord
Kalil's supposed killing of your child that is not opinion. Opinion
means nothing. All of this was propaganda that will sway no one in
argument, provided they're slightly intelligent.
"If he is willing to betray the trust only a father and son can share, I
dare think of what he would do towards his loyalties with your city."
Father and son? Kalil isn't the father of that child.
"I was also told that my son was not welcome in the Lorekeeper guildhall
because it was a domestic dispute and the Lorekeepers did not wish to
involve themselves in such a conflict. Pardon my naivety, but I was with
the understanding that your city protected all its citizens, unless that
excludes its children."
More propaganda. The city may protect their citizens, but it's the
Lorekeepers business whether or not they want to get involved in such a
petty quarrel. And some of them are, because they decided to attempt to
raid my guildhall. Those people will be a part of my necromantic
experiments.
"The harsh, cold-hearted, unfeeling attitude I received from some of
your citizens made me leave the city I once came to in search of
sanctuary and a new beginning. I had once thought Kinsarmar was a
caring, generous place. I see now it is only such when there are no
conflicts in which to actually call your citizens to action."
Opinion and propaganda.
"I was told to go to Khandava and then threatened. I had sent you a
lengthy message stating I had scribed the entire conversation if you
needed proof. I never heard from you. Apparently you dont see a problem
with allowing your Ambassador to threaten people."
Mookie, in all my hatred of her, has every right to threaten whomever
she wants. Apparently, you consider a threat inexcusable, granted it's
toward you.
"To the Prophet of Khandava. Your Ambassador needs a few lessons in
etiquette along with your Council as well. I was with a newborn son in
arms and was rejected due to the fact that I *used* to belong to
Stavenn."
Khandava has every right to turn you down. All cities and councils do.
For all they know, this could be a giant scheme by you and Lord Kalil to
conquer the world. Don't blame them for being wary of former citizens of
the Empire and ex-fiancee of a Diavlous, whom just happens to be
Secretary to the Harbinger.
From Public Post No. 1376:
"Apparently you have me confused with someone who actually cares to hear
your opinion."
Ah, such flawless logic. Posting on the public board should never get
responses that counter your original point.
You have not presented a valid argument. You only think you have,
because you assume your information is factual.
And it's not.
It is opinion.
