Keep it down, down there!

A less honest man would say at this point that he hated to get involved.
But I am an honest man. And I always have two cents to contribute!

The Arboreals, for the first time in my living memory, have taken a
stand. They're to be commended for it. I didn't even hear about a
referendum being called.

The Hunters, more commonly, have taken that same stand as well.

This "war" is not about a panda. It's about people who wish to fight,
versus people who do not. I suspect if it had not been a panda animated
and dancing like a harlot for the amusement of the Nobility of Stavenn,
it would have been something else, equally provocative. Mariposa,
perhaps, bedding an Ourouborous in the Inferno? Or an arboreal golem,
servicing a nightmare at Chamber of Ephors? It was geared to engender a
rise from the arboreals, and the hunters, and it rightly did.

Now we all have a great deal of reading to do as a result. Taea,
Angeline, the Diavlous have every right to use their skills as they see
fit. You would both react as strongly as they, were you banned by their
decree from using your grove. It is not the right of any one guild to
infringe on the rights of any other. To the leadership of Stavenn, I ask
more.

If this war is as you claim for your sovereignty, what if you agreed not
to corrupt and pervert the gentler creatures of the wood for your ends?
What if you didn't possess cuddly pandas with cute names, but only ever
possessed dreliths, and dire wolves, and cave trolls, and ogres? That'd
make it a lot easier for my cousins in the south to live and let live.
And that way they also may be convinced to cede control of your lands to
you. Really, burning a lot of jungles down hurts no one. Plants grow
back. It's practically all they do. And the only thing that makes better
fertilizer than a fire? A cow.

Or perhaps an old Lycaean.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Tenebrae, in the year 450 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
