Hail Aetherius.

For the longest time, I have sat by as a mere spectator to the news of
the realm. Over time, however, I had come to one major conclusion: This
"news" isn't really news at all. The public section of the news has
become nothing more than another arena for the unwavering hatred that
seems to fill the hearts of every on in this world.

When was the last time a post was seen in this public section that was
-actually- news? I certainly cannot recall such a time. All that is seen
anymore is post after post of mudslinging. The pattern is basically the
same too...one person makes a post about some occurrence that almost
seems like it might be news. Then, the next person comes around and
finds everything they can wrong with the previous post, and makes sure
they insult it as much as possible. The next person comes around, and
insults THAT person repeatedly about the insults they have thrown at the
person before, and thus the cycle continues.

Now, that much said so far, I will expect that someone will come along
shortly and bash everything I have said here, and instead of discussing
with me -in person- the faults they find with my reasoning, they will
use the public "news" as a forum to not insult just my post, but me as a
person as well.

There is no peace anywhere in Aetherius, nor will there ever be. As much
as that sounds defeatist and pessimistic, it is truth in the mere fact
that the citizens of this land are making battlefields out of every
possible place they can. Is it just the nature of mankind? A nature that
can not be fought? Or are we better than that at all?

I will leave you all with this: Use the news for its intended purpose.
Keep the wars outside, if you can. Besides, battles are better fought in
person, rather than through scribes in a news stall, aren't they? There
are my thoughts, take them or leave them.

Let the slander commence...
