Pets

Dear Aetherius,
Please note that while the majority of us arenae Hunters or Arboreals,
those of you who are able to tame pets are given a gift undoubtedly
given by the immortals and used vivaciously by your fellow kind.
However. The ability to do so doesnae mean that those of you who can
tame should use the ability recklessly...for the love of the gods, be
with care in whom you give or sell such creatures to. I am already
profoundly astounded in the mass numbers of creatures left to die while
their masters rest their presences within the lands. Hordes of animals
are running through throughout cities and in mass clusters of confusion
where areas are most populated by their masters.

Is this how we wish to portray our animal kingdom? As slaves to the
disdainful and ignorant?
I implore you to learn of your pet before you get it, or learn of the
animal before you tame it. Please. As a guardian to the ways of Nature
and a child of a city...show such respect and wisdom.

Sincerely,
Dame Lakessa D'Murne-Calamus, Lioness of the North

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Bellum, in the year 473 AD.
