Odd..

Now, this is odd, and quite confusing as well.

You and your people keep claiming you have honour, yet you have no
qualms about breaking into an inn room where I and my beloved were, and
slaying the both of us, when we were doing nothing to you, and in fact,
neither of us really has. Your people claim not to be interested in
random, wan-ton bloodshed, yet that's exactly what it was. We were
helpless. You killed me, and I still did nothing to you, because I have
no wish to attack any Antiochan, or anyone at all for that matter.
Ashlar did nothing at all until after you'd slain me, presumably because
he didn't want to start a major fight. I still have no intention of
fighting you physically, and I have enough sense to know words tend to
slip right past you, so I'm not entirely sure why I'm writing this,
except in the hopes one of your fellows will see it, and wonder to
themselves the same thing I did; Where's the honour in that? What's the
point? Two harmless people, slain because you felt like it. Does it feel
good to know that? Does it do your soul any good to know that we were
killed for nothing? I hope so, because a soul like yours needs all the
good it can get. Any God who would have His or Her followers do that,
doesn't deserve to have followers.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Naturalis, in the year 480 AD.

Onward to 2021
