Greetings my people.

Having learned that our race's mortal enemy once again walks the lands I
raced with great haste to the Egeria forest to dispatch him.

This assassin who goes by the name Morvere claims to have a cure for our
supposed "curse". As all well know being Lycaean is nothing short of a
blessing. Regardless, he has no desire to help us, he wishes our race
destroyed.

Upon venturing into his layer I was greatly distraught by what I saw.
There were many Lycaean roaming his caverns who were greatly mutated,
twisted shells of their former self. Their minds enslaved if not
absolutely destroyed.

Fortunately some vigilant Arboreal had gotten to Morvere before I could
and despatched him, however I am sure that the boat keeper of the
underworld will grant him passage to life as he does with us.

What greatly troubles me are the vials I found in these caves. Black and
gold in looks and filled with a strange potion. I could not identify
this potion with my meager knowledge of healing concoctions but I fear
it contains the same substance used to mutate and enslave the Lycaeans
in his layer.

Beware my people. Do not drink any potion you cannot identify. I would
not assume this substance will stay confined to the black and gold vials
either. I have emptied all that I found save one vial incase there is
some study that can be done to it...perhaps a cure could be found.
