As you wish a response within three months, here it is.

Firstly, we find no problem with your request about rogues.

Secondly, the house as you mentioned is being cared for and would be
expedited if it were for a few choice moments when the majority of a
council is present at once. Hopefully, that will be soon.

Lastly, your request for reparations we find unreasonable. Any amount,
were it one gold sovereign or ten million, we would not acquiesce to.
The citizens agree that this is unreasonable since the raids, dear
Wildgraf, were begun with unreasoned raids upon our towne and city but
three of those who reside in your Council. The retaliation is what you
seek reparation for but, I do not see any damage that you would ask for
such an amount. The fact that a small band of mages were blown up due to
the forest's surges and ended such an assault before it began is not
something that cost anyone gold. Only time and effort. I'm sure that the
small bits are since eaten by the wolves and thus, mess cleaned up and
problem solved.

I realize that you probably will not recognize the fact that the raids
were started out of boredom or personal agendas and for the sake of
argument, it really does not matter. We will not pay the 500,000 gold
you ask. But I do offer this instead. All war enemies will be unenemied
with the exception of the four that began the raids on the towne of
Valin and upon Kinsarmar: Kabal, Torrens, Rasca and Lorccan. We find
this a reasonable trade since it is they that the small group of mages
retaliated against. Despite the ill conceived opinions against
Kinsarmar, you know us to be a group that does not act without purpose.
Coupled with the fact that I supplied the difference in lesson loss when
Hypon quit class out of my own pocket so that he would feel comfortable
changing classes, I feel this makes up for more than enough of your
imagined reparations.

You may respond to me personally or one of the council and save both of
us gold in response if you wish. We await your answer.
