The Sale of Animals

I have refrained from speaking in a public manner, as of late, due to
the much needed rest that my weary soul requires. Since your words are
obviously directed at myself, amongst others, that are blessed with the
gifts of taming, I'll respond accordingly. I'll also do so in the public
manner which you requested me not to, due to the fact that you brought
it upon yourself to make it a public issue and did not approach me
privately. If such had been the case then I'd have returned the same
courtesy.

You choose to place all tamers into the same myriad. Some befriend, some
lasso, others tame only for themselves, while others do it purely for
the profit. Whatever our reason or our methods of doing so is not up to
you to prevent or place restrictions upon. Granted, individual cities or
councils have the right to prevent certain persons from gaining the
animals in said cities, councils, or their townes. There is no
difference in tamers nor what they choose to do with the pets they
obtain. I am no diffent then the individual that simply obtains a pet
for themselves or possibly a friend. Although I do not agree with the
methods in which some people obtain an animal or what they choose to do
with those animals, it's not up to me to prevent nor hinder by any means
a gift granted to us by the Divine. If you have decided that what I am
doing is some sort of crime against yourself or the wilds then I ask
that you direct your attentions elsewhere. Possibly at the persons who
brutally slaughter the pets of another, simply to add insult to their
already multiple crimes against society? What of the people that take
their animals into battle with them, knowing fully that if they perish
their pet will follow? Or better yet, what of people that hunt the
sewers of the land, the lions in the Aerish, the rabbits of the Sienna,
or any other manner of helpless creatures? For is this not as well a
crime against Nature?

I do not train and sell animals simply for the profit such endeavors
generate, that is simply one of the benefits created. I loathe the fact
that some will lasso an animal and I only befriend the ones that I do
posess. The joy that acompanies the process of training an animal is
immeasurable. I provide a service not only to the elder generation of
the lands, but also to the young, further aiding them with the necessary
toils of new life. I rarely befriend animals from the Ithaquan
territories, those that have been taken by myself from there I assure
you have gone to persons that refrain from the usage of magicks.

I have little time or the patience to get myself upset about your
threats concerning throat removing. With all that said I'll not waste
your time any further with my opinions, and I ask that you no longer
waste my time with yours.

With all due respect,
Ellarynth Lokrien

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
