Today as I traveled about Feinhorn slaying all the ouroboros I come
across I found my mind adrift with many thoughts. This is usual, what is
not usual is that the topic my mind has choosen is that of Stavenn. I
suppose what causes me more concern is that I am actually bringing these
thoughts to the public. I can only guess that its my old age to blame as
I had always considered myself a quiet person. I assume those that read
this will not mind, there is much drivel to be found in these pages,
what is one more bit.

Anyways...

So I've noticed that yet another Imperator has been elected not of
Stavenn's guilds. Why is this I wonder. Are those that play with demons
to warped in mind to control such an empire I wonder? Yet if the demons
warp their minds why then do they clear the very same minds enough to
have them vote against their own kind. Perhaps even the demons
themselves know that those that tamper with thing unholy are unfit to
lead.

What is it then that makes a person fit to run the...mighty...empire of
Stavenn then? Perhaps those that understand the delicate balance of
nature are best fit as there seem to be quite a few from my old hunters
guild who have ruled. Including of course the current Imperator Erana.
This idea is also quickly dismissed as a Saboteur was just ruling prior.

I am at a loss. Don't get me wrong, I wish nothing but to see Stavenn
burned to the ground but I am...concerned. For example, I do not want my
former guild to turn into a training ground for your leaders. Nor would
I wish to see other guilds be lured by the temptation of power. Perhaps
that's it, the empire will allow anyone to rule that will join their
side. A crazy idea but is it any more insane then an empire that is not
ruled by its own kind.

Well if anyone has survived my ramblings and has a thought or two on
this subject I of course would be quite interested in hearing your
theories.
