To whom it may concern...Et cetera.
To begin with, let us stage a scenario. Imagine for me a man, let's call
him Dez. Now, imagine him with an axe. Dez proceeds to take said axe and
swing it at a tree he sees, because he sees it as a threat. Said tree
falls after it is severed from its roots, and thus the tree dies. Now
picture another man, let's call him Felan. Felan notices the stump and
the fallen tree. He inspects it and finds evidence that it is Dez. What
does Felan do, as a protector of the Wilds and Her elements? Why, he
brands Dez an enemy, so that way they can ne'er come near another tree
again.
If you do not understand the relevance of this scenario, let me say it
this way. If Dez had invaded, say, Kinsarmar and began slaying guards,
he would be enemied to Kinsarmar. So, if Dez comes into the forest and
slays the trees that stand in silent vigilance of their home forest, it
makes sense that you are enemied to the forest. Understand now?
I do not see the matter of townes as relevant considering none of them
distorted the Nature of the land and is indeed being cared for. You see
no paving in our townes, nothing to harm the Wilds, simply other
Aetherians sharing the Wilds with its Natural inhabitants. As for
Celidon's Nature, we are indeed magickal, and indeed, naturally. Our
affinity is Naturally magickal. Our environment contains magickal
surges. I think that explains itself.
First, you did the crime, you do the time.
Second, the Flameweavers needed no gentle guidance from you, and will
ask from it when they do. So don't bother yourself with any more
inspiration attempts.
Third, if the trees have a place in the Wilds, then they will grow,
east, north, west, and south of the Wealin, Vardarian, Ithaquan, and
wherever the Wild One so pleases.
Fourth, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, which was explained as
above.
Fifth, our citizens affinity is our concern. Again, keep your nose where
it belongs.
Sixth, notice that the council of Celidon is not called Ithaqua for a
reason. That means that you, Wildgraf, have no business making demands.
Until the time that we deem your help necessary, anything you say,
demand, or request, unless it is accompanied by apologies for your utter
lack of tact and consideration, will be heard and dismissed as lunacy,
rambling, or worse. Arrogance is unbecoming of Outsiders.
Until such a time as this realization is made by Ithaqua, or until such
a time as rational terms are deemed necessary, consider your request for
war granted. It will most likely be the only request you've made that we
will listen to. I hope you appreciate the gesture.
