You wanted answers..

Oh where to begin..

There are so many inaccuracies, so much regurgitated hatred its hard to
decide where to begin. How about with this. You obviously have not spent
time speaking with His priests and priestess.. and if you have been
mislead or misinformed by any proclaiming to be of Death.. I assure
those false prophets will be dealt with in due course. First lets set
some of your mistaken facts straight. Those of Death do not abhor the
flesh, nor do we fear dying. Do you fear the dark? No? then why do you
not walk around blindfolded? Having no fear and loving something are
quite different. If you have been taught otherwise.. my sympathies.. We
do not worship the physical act of dying. We have an understanding and
acceptance of it. We embrace it as the experience it is and for the
experience it can produce. We are not a bunch of lemmings ready to jump
from cliffs. Physical death is a part of all cycles.. it is not? In
nature.. in seasons.. things die in the winter to be reborn in the
spring. One creature kills another so that it may live and go on.. all
continuing the cycle.. We accept physical death and what it means
,however again, we do not worship it.
There is a reason I am being sure to make a distinction to say physical
death and not Death.. yes I am a priestess of the Lord Thanatos, known
as the Lord of Death and the Destroyer. These titles do not mean
apparently what you have been taught they do. You wanted proof that our
religion was not some glorified paradox.. Tell me how do you define
paradox.. as I have known it.. a paradox is something that is often
times a radical notion or belief with the great potential to be true...
or it's merely a statement that is contrary to popular belief.. what is
any religion but a belief that will always be contrary ,in some part, to
all others? Prove that wrong.. I could ask you what makes your belief
nothing more then a glorified paradox as well.. our following is quite
large.. prove me to be its not contradictory somehow to some common
belief.. Many of the religions have some similarities as well as
contradictory aspects. Are you going to call, with a derogatory air,
ever other religion aside from your own a glorified paradox?
You ask about our offense to death and why or how we justify our return
from Dis. First off, most people get aggravated with pointless things.
Like the majority of the public posts for example. Being killed because
some ignorant fool cant understand your words and instead chooses to use
brute force, is another example. Such things make for wasted, pointless
deaths. The Lord does not condone nor have any adoration for meaningless
deaths. Physical deaths should have purpose and meaning. So yes.. if I
get offended at being slain for no apparent reason its because it was
pointless and most people tend to get aggravated at such foolishness.
You wrap the seeming offense with your flawed concept that we worship
the physical act of dying. If we truly worshiped being slain then
naturally we wouldn't be here, we would be in Dis. Imagine that, words
and phrase having complex meaning other then possible common place
interpretations.. or should I think that you are a wind that blows only
in the spring and marvel at how something as inconsistent an immaterial
as the wind is able to even put quill to parchment?
As for justification for our returns. We strive for something that
cannot be found in death.. only through living can we experience and
grow. I don't think that I have the capacity of words in the post to
explain what it is that is sought. Know only that we return because we
seek and because we also have work.. to cleanse the ignorance from the
realm.. a job as you and many well prove is going to take a lot of time
effort and patience.

And on a closing note.. it is through Lord Thanatos's will and His will
alone that means of returning from Dis have been provided... and if your
think of rebutting back with something to do with Aryana's spring.. ask
Tomast what we like to do to those pretty waters when it willed to be
done.. death is only part of His domain.. but it is HIS and HIS alone..
and again.. all you lovely people who abhor the Lord because you do not
understand.. when you slay us.. when you slay anything.. in the end..
you do service unto His domain.. such a bitter thing it must be.. to
hate the one you deny you serve..

Death is Life, Life is Death...

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
