Death

I am pleased to hear so many responses, and equally pleased to see that
the religion and teachings of such an eternal being as Lord Thanatos
have been revised from the irreconcilable paradox inherent to it in my
golden days. I am likewise pleased to see that there are many who still
would take the time to defend themselves in philosophy rather than
attempt to defend it only by blade. Only os m

Ishtar,
While your response was well-thought, a paradox is not what you stated.
A paradox is something that is self-contradictory, though may have the
possibility of truth. I find it interesting that your faith has come
closer to the Wheel in its ideology of cyclical reality. This is a
pleasant change from the past, and one far more philosophically
acceptable.

As for returning from Dis, the blessing is from all of the Gods. This
knowledge is passed down from Ancient Caanae, and follows logically from
the fact that a simple Tattoo, Devotion, Groves, and even the powers of
Aryana that I possess when I can draw upon all of the monoliths can
remove an individual from your Lord's realm. You are too young to
remember, but there was a Dryad that once tended to a tree that emerged
from Dis. The dryad fell before your Lord's minions, but your Lord did
not slay he right out even though He wished to.

Hasaddah,
I have ever been a proponent of the philosopher's wager. You may assume
what you will, but you assume incorrectly. The reason for my tenacity in
my beliefs is that I constantly seek to understand all that I can, and I
have yet to encounter something that contains more truth to it than the
Wheel.

So far I have glaned this:
1) Death and life are a cycle.
2) The Death you worship is not physical death but the state of peace
that follows death.

Much has changed for the order, it seems, and I need to be reeducated
concerning your true teachings so I may understand your new beliefs.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
