Needless violence

Dearest Arigon,

I have always been a peaceful man. I have never participated in combat
with you or anyone else. I have never raided your city nor any other.
You can imagine my surprise when a vortex opened up within the Temple of
Lady Shallah and pulled me outside to my violent end. I do not know the
reason why a price was placed on my head. I never provoked anyone in
anyway, yet somehow I was marked for death. I understand that to you I
was nothing more than a contract, but you could have at least waited
until I was outside the Temple of my Goddess. Your actions were
disrespectful and careless. I have prayed that you will be shown mercy.

You thought I would roll over and go away, but instead I walked into
your city to seek answers and was quickly slain again. I would like to
see peace reign in your city as well as my own. Our differences
concerning the use of magick do not need to result in bloodshed. I was
called a zealot before I died. It seems that the only zealot in this
situation were my attackers. Blinded by hatred and fear they chose to
slay me for no reason. I did not come to harm anyone. I only wanted to
extend an olive branch in the name of peace.

It's a sad commentary, really. Has your city weakened to such an extent
that you seek to slay the harmless? That may not be the case, but I
wonder if Kinsarmar has lost her sense of identity. Many years ago I
walked into Stavenn with a message of peace and was treated with greater
respect. I do not fear death. Perhaps some of the zealots in your city
will seek to slay me for writing this post. I may be a peaceful man, but
I will not cower in hiding. Should you have personal objections to my
drawing of breath just let me know. I will gladly lay down my life to
end the cycle of violence. I only ask that you do not violate the
tranquility in the Temple of Lady Shallah.

And to Kinsarmar as a whole. I challenge you all to show some restraint.
Try to live at peace with others in Aetherius. Do not be drunk with the
blood of your enemies. Hold fast to a code of honour like the
Lorekeepers of old. Embrace purity and love, kindness and virtue. This
is the same message I have been proclaiming in Antioch for decades. Now,
I bring it to you in hopes that our world could become a better place. I
suppose most of you will disregard my message of peace, but I will
nevertheless press on with my mission in life. I will not enter your
city unless invited, but I would be happy to share my message with
anyone who cares to listen.

In humble regard,
Kul bar Jolm

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
