The Kinsarmarian War

Written by: Lord Juran Acerbus

Citizens of Kinsarmar,

This war was never the desire of Antioch, it was entered into as an act
of defense. We fight for our ideals, and we fight for the defense of our
homeland. It was the decision of Keijima to raid Arkaskarr, and then the
decision of Sarrius to begin the war with his unprovoked use of Cruel
Lament. The first we could tolerate, the second was unforgivable. It was
only then that Antioch turned its head toward your city and began any
real conflict.

This month, we requested of your leadership a very simple admission of
fault. Our peace offer had one term, that they admit they were wrong. We
asked them to say that attacking a city with no cause was wrong, and we
asked them to say that attacking those uninvolved in the fighting is
wrong. Going against previous statements by her own Council, your
Duchess refused these things.

But you can take solace in the fact that our leadership is not as
dedicated to meaningless tasks as yours. Those not involved in the
fighting are still safe from it, we will not bend from our ideals simply
because the current leadership of your city lack them.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Aequitas, in the year 559 AD.
