First of all I want to warn you those who doesn't give a sh...thought about Kinsarmar and its situation ( I know Joran you don't think about the city as well too, but you gotta stay awake thus hear my challenge in the end ) may not continue to read the contents of this post.But for some amusement I'd suggest.

I'm Ugralitan a humble servant of Aetherius, yet during Ithaquan-Justicar attacks I fought along with you, my Kinsarmarian brothers. But when I heard Duke ( Or Duck? I leave it to your assessment my brothers ) surrendered officially and licked the boots of Ithaquan Wildgraf ( God bless Wildgraf,...if there is any god willing to bless him anyways ). Openly accepting superiority of Ithaqua. So should we call Duchy of the Five Towers as Duchy of Ithaqua? Still though no one publicly shouted anything about it. So thus tis the job of the Ol' Ugra then to make some action.

I imaginarily contest you Joran for the position of Duke and here my program with several ideas.
1.END OF CORRUPTED ELITISM
-Instead of new applicants having voted by council members (which may take from average 1.5 years to 3 years) will be replaced 3 Month Referendum where PUBLIC ( Yes finally citizens! ) will vote. So the voting will be done by the will of state, away from possible personal issues of some high-sitting, do-nothing people.
-Those officials who doesn't really do nothing but being repulsive and hateful against people ( Look at the General's face and his wife then see what I mean )will be sent to jobs according to their talents
-'If I cannot be Duke, G will be Duke, if G cannot be then D will be Duke' era will be ended.( It is all coincidence I choose that upper-cases, but that needs further research! )
-And a new powerful right for Ereges, RIGHT OF CONSCRIPTION, with this power an erege can at spot unenemy and citizen a person, but the person will be under probation for 5 years and if he misbehaves, the citizened person will be enemied for permanently.
2.PARAGON OF MAGICK AND ARTS
-Kinsarmar is supposed to be the Paragon of Magick ( Nowadays it is a lullaby to make people sleep ), but current situation and citizening policies will be changed as mentioned above to make it real
-A Festival of Arts consisting of theatral talents, joke contests, combat tournaments and with many more will be held to make our people rejoice and value the true meaning of city. Arts.
-Relations with potential allies will be reconsidered and strenghtened with diplomatic actions. ( So when a leaf burns in Celidon or Khandava a Kinsarmarian will douse it when a orc peeks through a lady's door in Kinsarmar a Celidonian or a Khandavan will teach the orc that there are manners)
3.NO BOOTLICKING AND NEW IMAGE
-Kinsarmar will be proud and honorable city which favors honesty and friendship over cold nobility, elitist corruption and bootlicking.
-Perhaps the Duchy name is coming awfully dependent to something...Like Duchy of some big kingdom. Instead Kinsarmar will be an Imperium where all magickal kin can find a safe shelter against 'demons' from any non-magickal circle.
-And by all this coordination and with new image, Kinsarmar will prevail, my brothers.

Now Joran you have power I have none apparently.( But you still prefer to sit at crossroads all day) I am a man of projects, I create ideas, try to accomplish them even in my rather powerless state. Here I CHALLENGE you Joran come up with better ideas then mines and fulfill them, I'll call you Duke not Duck and kowtow before you to leaving myself to your hands.
