Mahanaxar,
It is very rare that I write on the Public boards, but your dishonesty,
half-truths and obvious confusion has led me to spend my 1k to respond
to you.
First and foremost, your actions and behavior put you where you are now.
Icarus, your finance, now and prior to her treason against her guild and
City has been a concern and something that has been closely watched.
Perhaps by love, you were blinded, but that does not excuse certain
actions you have taken against the City and the Guild.
You claim you were kidnapped into Stavenn. You, yourself informed me
that Icarus used the earring artifact to summon you into Stavenn. Let's
review this a moment. Icarus used the earring that you have the twin to,
in order to summon you to Stavenn, where you were tortured and a doll
was made of you, while you pleaded for help on the City Channel.
Although, I was not here during your "kidnapping", Inyva explained the
situation in that regard. Others have been summoned into Stavenn, in
most cases they were not rescued either. For one, people are not going
to flop themselves into Stavenn to die just to walk with you through
Dis. Being enemied to Stavenn will ensure this would be the case.
Nevertheless, your donations to the City were well received, but you put
too much accountability on Neko's behalf. It was not his decision not to
build the library first, it was the City's decision and it was unanimous
that priorities were put elsewhere. I'm sorry your personal preference
was not the majority, but I do not see how this could make you do the
things that you did.
Now then, you say, "I have my lady Icarus to thank for awakening me to
the facts". Did this all come to you when she was summoning you to be
tortured? Or was this afterwards, while you remained friends with this
woman that summoned you to Stavenn so that a doll could be made of you?
You claim you met on common ground with "the enemy" - your exact words
were - "To say that I was assisting them is a lie, because I didn't do
anything, unless of course you want to claim my vial hand-off as an
action. I didn't meet to fight Icarus. I met for parley, and most
honorable warriors when asked by even their greatest enemies to meet for
formal talks will take no action against them, and sometimes as a
measure of faith will offer them minor assistance to show their own
sincerity in meeting peacefully. But you didn't bother to find that out,
did you?" (end quote)
Mahanaxar, you spent more time in Stavenn than you did Antioch, even
AFTER your supposed kidnapping. How often do you need to meet for parley
with Icarus and within her City? I'm normally not a judgmental person,
but by the gods, what are you thinking?
We're certainly not stupid either. Were you told to kill the citizens of
Antioch and stand idly by while others were killed? You expect no action
to be taken when you kill our citizens? Then you slap accusations on
Antioch about being hypocrites? There's something wrong with this
picture.
The last topic I wish to broach is that of citizens of Antioch fighting
alongside magick users. Is this actually what transpired, or were they
fighting against a common enemy? Demon invasions are not something to be
taken lightly, if Kinsarmar citizens want to assist in destroying the
demons, then I welcome them to it. Believe me, I wouldn't stop them
while they were actively doing so, nor would any righteous citizen of
Antioch.
I tire of people using Antioch's so called hypocrisy as a lame excuse as
to leaving the City. It's been overused as an excuse and has no
foundation other than a very lame reason for quitting the City and
finding the magick side so much easier to live with.
Even if you saw all these transgressions Mahanaxar, wouldn't you be more
inclined to stand up for what you believe in rather than joining that
which you claim you detested? Rather, if you can't beat em', join em'?
It took you two minutes to join the City of Stavenn because you believe
you were wronged. Turning on the citizens of Antioch and slaying those
whom have never laid a hand on you.
Now you pick up a blade for Stavenn, I hope you're proud of yourself and
will one day come to realize it was YOUR hypocrisy that got you enemied
and removed from the City, no one else's.
