2.13 Maps in Imperian
The geography of Imperian can be a complicated thing at times, and maps can be a powerful way to keep from getting lost. Imperian has a built in mapper to help players find their way around the world. You can use the following commands to explore the world and travel with more ease. Map Commands: ------------------------ MAP|MAPS - Display a map centered on your position. CONFIG MAPVIEW ON|OFF - See the map automatically in room descriptions. MAP LIST - List all created maps MAP <room number> - Display a map centered on the room number. MAP <map> <x> <y> <z> - Display a map in the designated map and coordinates. MAP RADIUS <0 to 5> - Set the height and width of your map viewer. MAP HEIGHT <0 to 5> - Set the height of your map viewer. MAP WIDTH <0 to 5> - Set the width of your map viewer. An Example Map: ------------------------- --- Map 1: Caanae ----------------- v8463 --- | [ ] [_] | / [ ] [ ]-[ ] | / \ [_]-[ ]-[ ] [ ] | | [^] [ ]-[ ] / -[ ] [ ] [<] [ ] [ ]-[ ]- \ | / | \ | / [ ]- - -[ ]-[ ]-[+]-[ ]-[ ]-[ ] | / \ | / | [ ] [ ]-[_] [ ] [ ] [ ] \ | [ ]-[ ] \ [ ] | [ ] [ ]-[ ] | / \ [ ]-[ ]-[ ] [_] | | --- CAANAE_RUINS17 -------------- 0:0:0 0 --- - In the above map (of Caanae), your current room is represented by the '+' in the center of the map. A room on a submap will only be displayed if the map viewer is on that same submap.
