This will be my first posting on this forum and it is long overdue. For
those who read these postings for useful information, I would highly
suggest that this particular post be skipped. Ive paid my gold
specifically to register several complaints against many within the
realm. I will warn ahead of time that this post is extremely long.
First and foremost, to the Imperator of Stavenn. I can almost understand
the necessity of killing during times of war, but the killing of
innocent children is inexcusable. Murdering ones own infant son is
horrid and incomprehensible. You have a citizen, Kalil Anar, who has
done such a crime. He currently resides in safety behind your walls.
Tell me, Imperator, is this the foundation on which your Empire wishes
to base itself upon? I would suggest that your city re-think its
position when allowing citizens to remain as such when they have
committed such unspeakable acts of cowardice. If he is willing to betray
the trust only a father and son can share, I dare think of what he would
do towards his loyalties with your city.
To the Duke of Kinsarmar. I come to you as a mother who has lost two
infants, one of which was murdered within your city walls. Although my
grief knows no boundaries at this time, I remember the cold-hearted
words of some of your citizens during my time of suffering. Upon hearing
my child had been taken from the relative safety of the Lorekeeper
guildhall by their Guildmaster, Milanthor, I asked to speak with a
Lorekeeper on your city channel. I sought information on how my child
died. I was then accused by some of your citizens of blaming the
Lorekeepers for his death and of being an irresponsible mother who
caused the death of my child. I believe it was your Treasurer, Gelf, who
referred to my child as an "it" during the conversation. I was also told
that my son was not welcome in the Lorekeeper guildhall because it was a
domestic dispute and the Lorekeepers did not wish to involve themselves
in such a conflict. Pardon my naivety, but I was with the understanding
that your city protected all its citizens, unless that excludes its
children. The harsh, cold-hearted, unfeeling attitude I received from
some of your citizens made me leave the city I once came to in search of
sanctuary and a new beginning. I had once thought Kinsarmar was a
caring, generous place. I see now it is only such when there are no
conflicts in which to actually call your citizens to action.
To the Emeris of Celidon. I wont waste eloquent wording regarding your
Ambassador, Mookie Iolar. Shes an idiot. I pray to the gods it was a
freak of nature which allowed her such a position and not the conscious
will of your Council. When I approached to gather information on
becoming a citizen I was told city-dwellers were not welcome since we
tend to cause trouble. I was told to go to Khandava and then threatened.
I had sent you a lengthy message stating I had scribed the entire
conversation if you needed proof. I never heard from you. Apparently you
dont see a problem with allowing your Ambassador to threaten people.
To the Prophet of Khandava. Your Ambassador needs a few lessons in
etiquette along with your Council as well. I was with a newborn son in
arms and was rejected due to the fact that I *used* to belong to
Stavenn, that I *used* to have a fianc who was a council enemy, and was
called a liar by your Ambassador. I wandered the wilderness for six
months with my newborn waiting on the Council's decision to allow me a
home and was denied. Not once did anyone seek my out personally to see
me as a person. I sent a letter to you with these concerns and I was
never contacted. Apparently you as well do not care about the treatment
that is handed out by certain members of your Council.
Do I sound a tad bitter? Words cannot describe the feelings I have at
this exact moment, but perhaps this airing out of ten years accumulation
will, gods willing, shed some newfound light on the actions of some who
bask in the glow of self-righteousness only when it is to their
convenience.
Sincerely,
